#365 drawings: Frog 6/365

Some days are easier to come up with something to draw.  Today was not that sort of day.  I messed around with a bunch of ideas.. (lots of ideas for illustrations for my book) but couldn't settle on anything concrete.  Either serious or otherwise.  In boredom I threw out a query on FB and my friend Janelle suggested a frog.  So that is what I did.  He would be fun to watercolor...  later.  Would that count for a different day?  hmmm....  Who makes the rules anyway?

this is making me want to draw, too.
too bad i am swamped with other to-do's right now, but hey, a seed has been planted.

    1. One of the reasons I used that suggestion was because I had thought of drawing a frog earlier, along with a heap of other things, that I had also dismissed. But as long as I was asking for suggestions.. might as well go along with one that I wanted to do earlier anyway!

..and glad seeds are being planted!

  2. I like his fatness...really, he looks like he would be fun to squeeze (says the mean little kid that lives within us all). Like a stress ball. But then he'd just burp, leap away, and sip at a bugtini on his lily pad.

All of these things popped into my head when I saw this drawing. It is evocative. Well done.
